TWIN STARS was established in 1991 as an oil and gas equipment and maintenance company. Our main facility is located in Bloomfield, NM, the heart of Oil & Gas in the San Juan Basin. We have expanded our operations to Artesia, NM and Midland, TX to provide our natural gas compression services to the Permian Basin. Over the years we have grown from a staff of 2 to over 70 employees, including skilled field and shop personnel, a compliance technician, a skilled IT department with an in house programmer, and an in-house engineer.

Meet the Team
Roger Armstrong
President
President of Twin Stars Compression, LLC. Roger has worked at Twin Stars since its inception as Twin Stars, Ltd., a compressor maintenance company. Roger worked his way up the ranks from Field Mechanic to Supervisor, General Manager to President while taking night classes in accounting and business management to further his knowledge and continue to grow the company.
Prior to Twin Stars, Roger attended San Juan College and began his career as a welder fabricating small compressor packages and oilfield equipment. He made the transition from welding to mechanics during an industry downturn in the late 80’s.
Roger and his wife raised two children in Bloomfield, NM before moving to Midland, TX in 2018 to further expand business in the Permian Basin.
Jeffrey Botz
Chief Financial Officer
Jeffrey Botz is the Chief Financial Officer of Twin Stars Compression LLC since 2017. Prior to that time he spent 22 years, with the same company, in the Fire Alarm & Security System Industries where he served as controller for 5 years and Vice President for 17. He started his professional career out of college as a staff account for a CPA firm for 4 years.

Jeffrey holds a Bachelor of business Administration in Accounting from the University of New Mexico (1990). Jeffrey is married with two children.
Rick Sanchez
Operations Manager
Operations Manager of Twin Stars Compression, LLC. Rick has worked at Twin Stars since 2000 holding the positions of Field Technician, Lead, Area Supervisor, Maintenance Manager, and currently Operations Manager.
Prior to Twin Stars Rick spent 10 years in the US Navy in Naval Aviation as an Airframe/Hydraulic Mechanic, LPO, and QAR, during which he attended night classes to obtain his FAA Airframe/Power Plants Lic. And a Journeyman’s certificate in Aviation Structural Mechanics. After the US Navy he worked for BF Goodrich Aerospace, and Raytheon Aerospace.
Rick is married and currently resides in the San Juan basin.
Clint Pavey
Inventory Manager
Clint Pavey is the Inventory Manager for Twin Stars Compression. Clint joined Twin Stars in 2004 and has served in many roles including Field Technician, Area Supervisor, Environmental Compliance Technician, and Artesia Branch Manager. An early member of the core team at Twin Stars, Clint has been instrumental in developing many of the processes, procedures and strategies currently used by the company.
Born and raised in the San Juan Basin of New Mexico, Clint is a third generation oil and gas professional and married father of two amazing children. Prior to joining Twin Stars, Clint was an ASE certified professional automotive technician.
Sylvia Sandoval
Human Resources Manager
Sylvia Sandoval, Human Resource Generalist for Twin Stars LLC. Sylvia is a Human Resource professional with over 20 years’ experience working with trucking, manufacturing, and oil and gas companies. In this position functioning in EEO compliance, recruiting staff, compensation, benefits administration, marketing, and labor relations.
Sylvia is an active member of local SHRM boards and currently holds two positions; President Elect for Four Corners Human Resource Association and Membership Co-director for SHRM New Mexico State Council.
In her spare time, Sylvia enjoys spending time with her two children and treasure hunting for antiques.
Carl Moss
Engineering Manager
Carl Moss is the Mechanical Engineer for Twin Stars Compression LLC, he has been with the company since 2007. Prior to that time, he spent 2 years, as the Production Engineer for CDX Gas.
Carl holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of New Mexico (2001).
Carl lives in Aztec, NM, hobbies include rock climbing and mountain biking.
